The K Family - Seattle Tacoma Children's Photographer

Gosh, all I say can is how ADORABLE are these three? I had the privilege of the photographing these cuties at the  Washington Park Arboretum a couple weeks ago. As I've posted about before, I firmly believe that portraits should be a reflection of a person. Its important to me to capture genuine smiles and because of that I think that portrait sessions should be laid back and fun.

Our mini photo session was full of lots of giggling, smiles and knock-knock jokes. I had to laugh a little when Andrew busted out his favorite knock knock joke about the orange. I guess knock knock jokes haven't changed that much since I was a kid.

Andrew and Maddie both have the most genuine, contagious laughs and their little sister Grace has no problem keeping up with them. I had so much fun photographing them.

One of most frequently asked questions during planning sessions for family photos is "What should we wear?". My first answer is wear whatever you want.-pick a favorite outfit that you feel represents your style. Beyond that, I always recommend that you steer away from matching outfits (Please, please, please, no matching white shirts and jeans!) and instead choose outfits that coordinate. I love how Emma's shirt coordinates with the stripes in her older sisters outfit. I also recommend that if your kids are old enough, you let them pick out at least part of their outfit.

Emma brought her favorite bunny stuffed animal to our session. I love it when kids bring favorite toys to a photo shoot because it adds such a special memory to the photo.
